end round - rescue

[Once the discussions of who's saving who finish up, the building begins to shake. Every open door slams shut with a sound like a thunderclap. The lights go off for around thirty seconds, submerging the room into complete darkness. When they come on again, all the dead are gone - the only people remaining in the room are the living.]

Okay, here's how this is going to work. I've made it so that the doors of the dead people lead to a few moments before their death. I did what I could to give you enough time to reach them, but I don't know how much it will be in each world.
To save them, you have to get them back into the building. They won't remember anything about this place or be able to see it, so you'll have to either convince them to come with you somehow or drag them in. And you also have to close the time loop. They haven't paid their entrance fee or gotten the offer to change their fate yet, so you have to be the one to make it. I can tell you what each one paid if you don't already know.
Finally, it might be dangerous in some of the worlds. I tried to land the building in safer places, but if you die out there, you'll die for real.
[With that, the doors of the dead open. You can catch a glimpse of the worlds beyond them. Once you enter, you'll be able to see the building behind you, but the person you're trying to save won't.]
(OOC: Here's how this is going to work! Under each dead person's thread, their player will write a description of what the situation is and what you'll be able to find there. The person being saved won't remember what happened during the game at all, so it's up to the person saving them to decide how to get them back into the building. They also have to make the original offer - pay a price for a chance to change your fate and survive.)

[ Ty Lee's leaning forward, ready to run. She'll go with Mai first; there's no way Mai won't agree to go with her, even if she doesn't know what's going on. Youmu she'll hit second, and might be harder, but -
She'll do it. She promised, so she will. She thinks she knows enough that it will work. ]

All right... Austria gave up her connection to her people, right? And Yuyuko's was her ability to cause death. [Austria should be easy enough, at least. "somehow drag them in" isn't a problem for him at all.
but uh, he's glancing over to Ritsu... who picked Kouha's door.....]

AUSTRIA
no subject
There's small traces of life. Her country has not been abandoned, but there's an deniable emptiness. Her industry has become practically non-existent. Her influence on the world has dwindled to nothing. Her people have grown weak and aged, with no one to inherit her lands or to pass on their culture.
Her country is dying. A slow, gentle death...
She is dying. She looks ill and tired, rolling out of the now barren house that'd been pictured in her cabinet and along the cobblestone streets in a wheelchair on her way to yet another hopeless meeting. If she could just get help from someone. A bailout of some kind. Even a marriage would be preferable over letting this continue.
She doesn't have much time left...]

EMA SKYE
no subject
Ema can be found tearing through the rubble in a panic. She was obviously present for whatever just happened; while she's not critically injured, she's dirty and bruised, and her shirt sleeve is stained with blood that's seeping through from a laceration on her left arm. Her labcoat has been abandoned somewhere unseen, but her bag is still slung over her shoulder as she digs through the debris.
Her own state is clearly not what Ema's focused on, however. She's looking for someone, and only pauses in her search to call out:]
Lana! Lana, where are you?! Please, say something!
[Scientifically speaking, it's clearly not safe for Ema to remain here looking for her sister. What remains of the walls looks like it could come down any moment; Ema would not likely survive such a cave-in.]

KOUHA
no subject
In the sky are dozens of people flying around, all dressed in intricate armor similar in style to Kouha's magical girl form (but far manlier). They send huge blasts of fire, water, lightning, elements of all sorts towards the creature, but it seems to be regenerating any damage they cause.
An enormous rune circle glows in the sky, a familiar pink and purple figure hovering in front of it. Kouha sends the same pressure attack he had used to kill Naho towards the creature, only this time it's on a far larger scale. It blows an enormous hole in the creature's torso, but it's already starting to heal. While he's distracted, an arm sneaks out from the creature and grabs Kouha around the waist, flinging him hard into the distance.
Coincidentally, he'll just happen to crash land nearby the building.]

MAI
no subject
The battlefield is in the shadow of the Fire Nation capital, a battle between enemy forces and those of the Fire Nation. There are more than a few corpses littering the ground, mostly those from the Fire Nation. The enemy force is primarily skilled waterbenders and earthbenders, who appear to have the upperhand.
Mai is not someone taken down easily, however, despite her lack of powers. There's flashes of knives in the midst of boulders and whips of water. She can be found not horribly far from the building, but there's a lovely bunch of benders blocking the way. It's clear that while Mai is still dodging attacks, she's running out of knives and out of energy to keep from being shredded/knocked down-- and more importantly, can't seem to escape the barrage of attackers on her own. ]

MALIK
no subject
The water has already reached dangerously high levels, trapping him and a few others on the roof. The only things peeking above the rising water levels are a few lone treetops and small mountain peaks.
The Malik inside this door looks alarmed as the water now comes to spill over the floor beneath him. Just then a wave comes and knocks him off his feet, into the violent waters below. Letting out a scream, he twists under the surface as he tries to regain his sense of direction. While he manages to get his head above the waves long enough to gasp for air, it's sinking again in a matter of seconds. Malik is coughing and sputtering, unable to swim under normal conditions, let alone against these violent tides. Mere feet from the safety of the roof, he begins to sink.]

MAYA FEY
no subject
[Maya herself is badly bruised and scraped and even bleeding, and her eyes are filling up with tears, but she still staunchly pulls at him, as if she can pull him with sheer willpower.]
I left you behind once already! I'm not doing it again!
[There's a chance for you to go home, he barks right back, not harshly, but it's obvious he's concerned and stressed, What if COMPASS gets there before you? Who knows what they'll do? You have to go ahead! I couldn't protect you, so please---]
[She ignores his protests, furiously shaking her head. A few other bodies are visible, beginning to float as the water fills the Hold – the only way out is up, and Maya's not moving fast enough. Worse, the man she's pulling is fading fast, his wounds overtaking him as the water around them stains red]
[There are unpleasant noises in the background, too, suggesting that they aren't alone]
Locke, come on! Don't give up on me! We can do this! Come on...!

SERENA
no subject
That's probably why she doesn't notice the three people in red suits sneaking about. They don't speak to each other but instead use quick, sharp gestures to communicate. Their Pokeballs are held in their hands, but they're not yet nearly close enough to attack without Serena getting enough warning to fight back.
The cave itself is obviously not an often-traveled one; the Pokemon that lurk here are quite strong ones, though they're unlikely to directly attack a human without provocation.]

YOUMU
no subject
It's completely in bloom and the sight is beautiful, hypnotic even, but that beauty is tarnished by the corpses tangled in its roots and the intense fight occurring in front of it. Like in her memory, Youmu is fighting with clusters of coloured bullets and slashes so quick they're almost impossible to track. But the person she's fighting, despite their brown hair and human-like appearance is strangely familiar and will occasionally flicker into the distinct image of Yuyuko as she is now. It's hard to get close to them fighting with the speed and power that they are but it doesn't take long to realise that Youmu's target isn't Yuyuko but the tree itself.
Just when she thinks she has a clear shot, Youmu dives for the trunk but in a flash of bright light a number of red butterflies from Yuyuko burst into her chest and send her flying backwards. She hits the ground not far from Ty Lee but through the pain and exhaustion Youmu struggles to get back to her feet. Out of the corner of her eye she spots Ty Lee and the despair on her face starts to creep in]
Don't go any closer! You need to leave this place right now!
