days fourteen, fifteen & sixteen

[The evening of the fourteenth is eventful to say the least. After you finish fighting, you'll find the cat is back asleep in his box. Fortunately, overnight, you'll find that the bloodbath in the central room has been cleaned up, and there are some fresh medical supplies in the infirmary.

For the next two days, everything is peaceful...but at some point, without anyone noticing, a few of you will meet separately.]

Cat, Day 15

[mewreview]

[As usual, the cat will spend most of the next two days asleep. However, if you're up in the very, very early hours of the fifteen, you may catch him prowling the halls.]

[ Ah, there he is. She almost cursed herself for not catching him after the fighting broke out, but it looks like her subsequent insomnia was good for something after all. ]

Cat-san! You have some explaining to do!

[ clearing her throat and floating up. She's not sure she wants to believe whatever malevolent force was possessing Naho, but it...does make a certain amount of sense. She hadn't seen much of Satoshi the past week or so, and didn't get to speak with Satsuki. ]

One of those demons said you play favorites. "Protect the useful ones" and let the "weaker" ones stay vulnerable. If they kill these "weaker ones" they get rewarded. Is this true?

[souredsweet]

[as an early riser, Kaoru steps out into the hall at pretty much the exact moment that the cat is passing by, which takes him by surprise.]

Ah— Is something wrong? [he sounds a little nervous, largely because... every time they see the cat when he's not sleeping, it involves murder.]

Ah--good morning? [Serena sounds a little confused to see Sir Meowington up and about.] Are you alright?

[Iceland catches the cat on his way from his room to the aquarium. It's not as if he's been getting much sleep.]

...Is someone else dead?

[SHE'S AWAKE.... And that's odd]

Sir Meowington?

Sir Meowington? [ Early to rise, always, Ty Lee looks a little surprised. ] Aren't you normally asleep by now?

day 14, common room

[ Late into the night, Norway is sprawled out on the sofa. The television is on, and he's apparently quite focused on young attractive people saying complete non-sequiturs. It doesn't seem like he's going back to Iceland's room any time soon, so too bad if you want the couch. ]

day 15, library

[ Though usually reserved, Norway hasn't been around at all. He's been sitting in the library for a while, looking through the books for pictures of his family. ]

day 16, kitchen

[ Admittedly, he's been moping around the last couple of days. Moping is a lot better when there's sweets around, though, so the smell of cookies fills the kitchen. They're simple butter cookies, but is he ever putting a lot of butter in that bowl. ]

day 14

[ ??? She was just finally wandering back to her proper room from the clinic, but...Ty Lee will pause to lean over the back of the couch. ]

[the smell is what draws Kaoru into the kitchen, since it has a home-y quality to it without being overbearing. he stops in his tracks when he sees how much butter is being added, though...]

...What are you making, Norway-san?

day 14

[She went here to watch TV and it's not like she spends a lot of her own time sleeping, but upon seeing Norway here, blinks]

...Are you sleeping here?

day 16

[Iceland plans on slipping into the kitchen as quickly as possible in the afternoon. He's hardly been eating, but he does need to keep himself from starving to death, so these quick trips are one of the only places he's been over the last three days that isn't the aquarium.

He doesn't expect to see Norway there, and when he does notice him, Iceland hovers uncertainly at the doorway.]

night fourteen; clinic

[ After the second team takes care of Austria, Ty Lee will end up in the clinic to patch up whatever hits she takes.

...She also will probably just crash on one of the beds there unless someone gets her to go back to the Blue room, although Mai may come and collect her if she stays there too long. ]

day fifteen & sixteen; greenhouse

[ Once again putting up posters for a picnic outdoors, Ty Lee...basically refuses to go anywhere but the greenhouse, because she can't even be bothered. She does go for a run and such, but. Mostly she packs a huge picnic and sets up on the lawn each day.

She also notes on the posters of "Let's eat outside together" that if anyone wants to do the group therapy thing they keep mentioning or strategize, that sort of thing is more than welcome at the picnic.

Therefore people can threadjack those threads unless they otherwise specify them not to be so there. Ty Lee will mostly be bringing fruits and Asian-themed foods to these picnics, so pack something else if you want something else. ]

[ or pick your own adventure; Ty Lee can still be found in the graveyard in the mornings, in the kitchen making her picnics in the mornings after that, and doing pretty much the things she normally has done throughout their weeks here. ]

night 14

[it's an hour or so after that mess of a trial is over that Kaoru wanders into the clinic himself, and he immediately looks a little surprised to see Ty Lee just kinda taking up one of the beds.]

Ty Lee-san? Are you all right...?

[The clinic! Maya does have some experience with first aid, (and was going there to see if she could help out anyone injured since she can't exactly fight) so as soon as she sees Ty Lee there she makes a beeline for her]

Day Fourteen - Aquarium
[Iceland actually left the common area during the chaos of the fighting against Naho; he's hardly a fighter, and he has other issues to deal with. Issues that apparently involve sitting curled up in the very back of the aquarium, like he was trying to melt into the deepest parts of the fake ocean.]

Day Fifteen - Aquarium
[...And it doesn't look like Iceland is going to bounce back very quickly, because anyone searching him out will find him here all day, squeezed tight into the absolute darkest corner and staring at nothing in particular.]

Day Sixteen - Aquarium
[By this point, it might actually be apparent that contrary to bouncing back, Iceland has been getting worse. He's looking stressed and exhausted; while he's always slunk back into his room at some point during the night he apparently hasn't been getting any sleep.

Someone who's especially observant might notice that Iceland and Norway haven't spoken at all since the time Norway dragged Iceland out of the room during the case. That's definitely just a coincidence when it comes to Iceland's mental state, though, surely.]

[Kaoru had noticed Iceland's absence. with their rapidly dwindling number, it would be impossible to do that. but he's also well aware that everyone is reeling from the last trial and so he's opted to give as many people space as possible.

still, by the time day 16 rolls around, Kaoru goes to seek him out. at least even he has a good idea of where to look.]

Iceland-san...? I apologize for the bother.

[Well, when she first sees him there after the trial, she decides to leave him alone and give him some space, but this has gone on much too long.

So she comes down with a coke in hand to try and visit him.]

day 15

Found you!

[Why do people always go here to be sad... Well, anyway, she's found him, and she has an idea of what this is all about.]

[Aside from the murders and evil spirits attacking. Anyway:]

Iceland! Hey, Iceland!

[ Okay, she sort of figured Iceland would need a day after Austria's death - because they were...sort of from the same place? She was vaguely aware they all thought they should be different genders or something, but they were both countries...but after a day passes, it weirds Ty Lee out that she hasn't seen him at all.

And also that she caught Norway on the couch and that she hasn't...seen them around together.

After knocking on his door for a while, she eventually figures that he might be in the aquarium (duh) and goes to check it out. ]

There you are! What are you even doing in here? When was the last time you had something to eat - coke and candies don't count, by the way.

[ real food, guy. ]

day 14; yellow room
[After the trial ends, Malik disappears for awhile. When he finally does come back, he heads directly for the yellow room. Sittong on the bed, he sorts through the deck he handmade, and the picture Harriet had drawn on his cards. He's clearly lost in thought.]

day 15; weapons training room
[In lieu of the last trial, Malik comes here. He won't be caught defenseless again, and he grabs one of the sharper looking swords. Looking distance, he approaches the targets and starts to dully hit them. As he goes on he begins to take out all that built up stress, putting more energy into the swings until he knocks a target clean over and goes tumbling to the ground with it.

Malik cuts his hand on the way down and then he remains there on his side, bleeding and wide-eyed, but not having the energy to move.]

day 16; field
[For a good part of the day, Malik can be seen here laying in the grass. It's hard to tell if he's asleep or just lost in thought for awhile, but then he can be heard mumbling quietly to himself:]

There's only a few left... Just a few more weeks. That's all.

[Kaoru doesn't make a habit of visiting the weapons training room often, despite what his profile says. it's chance that he happens to walk by just in time to see Malik tumble. he takes a few steps in immediately, concerned, but spots the blood soon after. that's really the last thing anyone around here needs...]

Ah— Will you wait? I can get bandages from the clinic.

day fourteen

[After the trial, Athena, like everyone else, is very subdued. You can find her sitting by herself in the library with a book open, though she isn't reading so much as staring at the page]

day fifteen

[But the next day, Athena wakes up with a different kind of energy. You can find her in the morning, smiling to herself as she gathers various things - mostly sodas, beer, and snacks - from the kitchen, or later in the day scouring the halls for anyone she can find.]

All right, listen up!

We're going to do something fun! Pool party, tonight, attendance is mandatory!

[Maya had been thinking something similar, so she breaks out into a large grin when she hears the suggestion]

Now that's what I'm talking about! Great idea, Athena, let's clear up some of this gloomy atmosphere!

graveyard, all days;

[Like before, Maya's down here visiting, having retrieved the extra otterpenguin toys from the recently deceased and adding them to their specific gravemarkers]

[She's updating the graves on what happened yet again and chatting them up, probably looking like a crazy person]

EVERYWHERE, all days:

[Aside from her graveyard time, Maya is patrolling everywhere, cheerfully stopping anyone at all she comes across. If you look hurt, she's going to help you. If you look sad, she's extra cheerful. But no matter what you are getting assaulted by perkiness]

Hey, come on! Let's get some grub and talk!

[this is the first time he's actually witnessed Maya chatting to the ghosts, since he had come in after Youmu's weird possession... speech thing had already been in progress. it almost feels rude to speak up, even though she's essentially talking to air, so he waits a few seconds.]

Have you been able to contact anyone, Fey-san?

(kitchen, day 14)

[Harriet's been in here drinking tea after the trial. She's in need of some comfort though, so eventually, she digs out the baking ingredients and some canned roast beef and other things to try and make a pie for dinner. It's kind of an ordeal though, and she'll probably have too much left over.]

(sewing room, day 15)

[Harriet mostly wanted to be alone today - after what happened with Naho, she has no desire to be interrogated as one of the remaining people to not have their cabinet open. So she chose to lay low here since nobody used it other than Satoshi... though she at least hasn't gone so far as to lock herself in. While she's here, though, she'll attempt to do something crafty. She seems to be trying to make some kind of lacy ... bracelet. She has no experience with sewing whatsoever, but how hard can that be?]

(weapons training room, day 16)

[Harriet's here again, but practicing archery this time. Several arrows are stuck in the targets. She seems to be trying to improve her aim, though it's not too bad to begin with.]

[ Usually when she'd pass by and peek into the sewing room, it'd be to say hello to Satoshi. And that...can't be a thing any longer, although she wonders if that isn't where his spirit hangs out the most. It's almost surprising to walk by and see lights on inside, though, so Ty Lee peers in further. ]

Oh, Harriet? What are you making? [ She'll just invite herself in. ]
